The Confident Woman Devotional - Day 5
We posses this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. - 2 Corinthians 4:7 There is so much grace in our lives. There's a lot of things that we can't explain that just sound way too good to be true but it happens. It's real.
Do you ever have moments when you think about something you did in the past and can't believe it or ask yourself, "omgahhh why da haaail did I do that?!" but somehow you got away with it or got over it "Thank the lawdddd."
That is grace.
Even in school I was sure that I was going to a fail a class because it was just so freaking hard and I calculated everything to the tee knowing there was no way I was going to pass, but I somehow did.
That was grace.
My whole life I've never had a curfew. My mom really trusted me but I could've totally taken advantage of her and become some crazy sex crazed alcoholic druggy that ran away from home for the fast life. LOL nope.
That was grace.
& the list goes on.
There's a lot of things that have no explanation that leave me in wonderment. I know I have God to thank for all of my come ups. I pray that when people see me, get to know me, and still stick around despite my flaws, that they'll be able to see how it really was Him that I point to for saving my life.
