He is with me wherever I go.
He is with me wherever I go.
I get comforted by the sight of the cross. The irony is that the sight of the cross is shameful. It is where those who were punished for their wrong doings were to be crucified.
The irony is that I am unclean from my natural state of sin, yet I will not be crucified. I will not be crucified because Someone else took my place. My comfort comes from knowing I'm taken care of. No matter what happens, I am covered. I am clean. I am justified.. simply out of love.
Now, knowing this I can either "take advantage" of my position and squander it, or I can learn the value of my life and "take advantage" of it by cherishing it.
God is working.
