Summer has begun! I have so many goals for myself as a musician.. I have all this music in my head but I feel handicapped when it comes to trying to express it. Melodies I hum but can’t strum. Picking up the guitar is difficult because I get discouraged easily but practice makes progress!

Life has given me so many things: here, there, everywhere. Retreat at arrowhead, retreat with MCIA this weekend, dead week, finals week.. AHH!

I have a couple more weeks of school left. This both terrifies me & excites me. School shouldn’t be as difficult as it is.. but it’s being difficult. I accept the challenge. Besides, I was chatting with a friend and he brought up a good point. Failure comes with a valuable lesson. There’s a lot to learn everytime we do “fail.” And ultimately, if I tried my best, I really didn’t FAIL. Oh what a silly word.

In other news:
- My manager’s trying to get me a gig at Hotel Cafe. HOW AMAZING WOULD THAT BE? ;X
- I’ll be performing for YouTube the second week of June. YES, at their offices in Norcal. How exciting!
- We’re also discussing lowering my E.P. to five buckaroos! $$$$$$5. amay-jing.

I get caught up with so many things by being a University student. I really do want to take advantage of all the opportunities that come my way, but in the end of the day I know that it’s music that holds the key to my passionate heart. It’s been good this quarter because I’ve done a lot of critical thinking and come to the realization that I just make it hard on myself. If I’m meant to continue on with this musical path, it’ll work out. I just can’t disregard that like anything in life, songwriting/performing/growing all takes nourishment.

I want to do more shows.
I want to be awesome at the guitar (or decent enough to accompany myself.)
I want to write more songs.
I want to honest with myself and others.
I want to do it for all the right reasons.

It’s time for a fresh new start. 3 more weeks and I’m starting clean.

I actually think I would have to get better training to actually be knowledgeable in that area. All I can say is, if it hurts, it’s probably not a good idea to continue doing what you’re doing

You’re so sweet RIGHT NOW I am not touring. But I really would love to in the future, especially in the UK. I want my music to send me all over the world. Thank you for suggesting that venue! I need all the 411 I can get. I probably won’t come out with a full on album until my E.P. does better.

My youth group teacher when I was in high school gave me one of my first Christian CDs. The cd included this song and I could just hear what God wanted me to learn.

And I’m sill fiercely sick. I think I’m allergic to the world. How long do I wait until I have to go to the doctor’s for a checkup?

The biggest things I want to do with my music is travel the world, but I know that we all gotta start somewhere!
I’ve performed in San Francisco, Millbrae, San Diego, Irvine, etc.

Shall I ever get an opportunity outside of California? Or maybe someplace else in Cali. I’ve never been?

I started writing this song last year and just left it alone ’cause I just didn’t know how to finish it.
It may still get tweaked, but here it is for now.

I miss my mom and haven’t seen her since winter break..
