The Confident Woman Devotional - Day 22, 23, 24, 25, & 26
Do you see how easy it was for me to go without posting my devotionals? After this month I will continue to spend time with God through this devotional but now I'll be reading 14-ish Chapters with my eco group in the bible so I've decided that I'll be keeping my daily devotionals to myself unless I feel truly convicted to share something I've read. :) It's been an eye opening experience thus far to see how easy it is for me to push God's word aside for other things in my life, but I know how much more focused I am when God is my foundation.
Freedom to Be Ourselves
Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, my Help and my God - Psalm 42:5
God is Our Leader
I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. - John 15:5
Secure in Christ
May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love. - Ephesians 3:17
Draw the Line
So the king said to me, Why do you look sad, since you are not sick?... Then I was very much afraid... The king said to me, For what do you ask? So I prayed to the God of heaven - Nehemiah 2:2-4
God Forgets
I, even I, am He who blots out and cancels your transgressions, for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right). - Isaiah 43:25-26
Lord, I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything I've been wanting to do. I pray that You'll help me find a good balance with You as my solid foundation and the root of all the works I'm able to do in this life. I pray You'll help inspire me, motivate me, and remind me when things get tough. I want to take advantage of every opportunity in front of me without compromising my love and duties for my family, friends, and home. I pray You'll help me discern when to say yes and when to say no. I pray that You'll take away all the distractions from my life and for me to not be a slave to those things. I pray that I savor every second without wasting time. Please use me as a vessel to do wonderful things and let all praise go to You and not me. Let me be completely satisfied and joyful knowing that I've inherited the Kingdom that is Yours <3 Amen
